About IGF-1 LR3
IGF-1 LR3 (Long R3 IGF-1) is an 83-amino-acid analogue of IGF-1. Arginine replaces glutamic acid at position 3 and a 13-amino-acid extension is added to the N-terminus; together these changes reduce binding to IGF binding proteins, which is why the analogue is widely used in cell-culture research. A shorter variant is IGF-1 DES 1mg.
