About IGF-1 DES
IGF-1 DES, also written des(1-3) IGF-1, is a naturally occurring truncated form of insulin-like growth factor 1 that lacks the first three amino acids at the N-terminus (glycine, proline and glutamic acid). Removing them lowers the peptide’s affinity for IGF binding proteins, which makes it useful in in-vitro studies. For a longer-acting analogue, see IGF-1 LR3 1mg.
